On Tuesday the boys from 4th, 5th and 6th class heading off to Banteer to participate in the 12 a side Rural school’s competition. Up first were Lyre NS. A fantastic game of football where both sides were evenly matched with our boys coming out on top at the final whistle, winning by 3 points. Next up we took on Dernagree. Again both sides traded scores with some amazing skills on display. Leading by 2 points with the time almost up, a goal at the last kick of the game ending up with Ballydesmond losing by the narrowest of margins. Last up we took on Cullen. A strong physical side saw them winning well at half time but the Bally boys never gave up and played a suburb 2nd half showing huge determination and spirit and getting some great scores. Well done to the boys who had a great day and played some super team football 👏
